Absolute washable orthopedic Immobilizer for lower extremity fractures and soft tissue injury.

INTENDED USE

  • Lower leg fractures around ankle
  • Fractures of foot bone
  • Severe ankle sprains and strains or fractures.
  • Immobilize leg or foot muscles and tendons in place after surgery to allow healing.
FlexiOH® Short leg immobilizers are designed as orthopedic casting technology for lower extremity fractures and soft tissue injury. It has an built-in zip system which makes the application process very easy and comfortable. With unique FlexiOH® Technology, this short leg immobilizer gives better patient comfort along with breathability and washability. For application of FlexiOH® short leg immobilizer, doctors need to apply it on the patient’s leg with the zip and then cure it with the Rizycure® light device (recommended) or direct sunlight for 8-10 mins depending on the size of immobilizer. Once it is rigid , it will take the shape of the patient’s leg for support during immobilization.
 
FlexiOH® Short Leg Immobilizer provide ~45 % open area of skin to breathe, wash, and exposure to sunlight which all are necessary to maintain healthy skin.

Application Process

Step – 1 : Measure the Calf circumference as shown in the measurement guide and…

Step – 2 : Now measure the Head of Metatarsal and choose the size from size chart

Step – 3 : Open the product and inspect the product (In case any damaged, get it replaced)

Step – 4 : Place the ankle in the center of diamond shape as shown in the image

Step – 5 : Close the zip over around the foot area

Step – 6 : Take the piece of foam cushion provided with the immobilizer

Step – 7 : Place the foam cushion under the zip which will provide cushion against zip

Step – 8 : Now, close the zip of foot area

OrthoHeal

Step – 9 : Now close other zip over the shin area to finish the zipping process

Step – 10 : Take a cable tie provided with the immobilizer to interlink and lock the 90 degree position

Step – 11 : Keep the cable tie 1 finger loose initially as shown in image

Step – 12 : Apply 2 cable ties on both side as shown in image

Step – 13 : Now take a RizyCure curing light device to start curing process

Step – 14 : Start the curing process around the foot area first

Step – 15 : Expose the foot and ankle area until the position is locked

Step – 16 : Now expose the rest of the immobilizer for 5-7 minutes until its harden

Step – 17 : Tighten the loose cable ties of both the side

Step – 18 : Cut the extra length of the cable ties after tighten

Easy Removal Process

FlexiOH® Short Leg Immobilizer Immobilizer Easy Removeal Process is as follows

Removal Step – 1 : Cut the cable ties with pliers and fabric of the zip along one of the side using blunt scissors

Removal Step – 2 : Use double action pliers to break the rib of the immobilizer in a straight line on the opposite side of zip line

Removal Step – 3 : To remove immobilizer, apply gentle force and pull out from the immobilizer
